Designers will join in September to submit their proposals for the spring-summer season 2013 of Puerto Rico High Fashion Week (PRHFW). Caridad Fernández, president of PRHFW announced today that the twelfth edition will be held from 19 to 22 September at the Roberto Clemente coliseum.
The first day of the event (September 19th) will begin at 6:30 pm- with the final competition of the Elite Model Look Puerto Rico. Participants will model pieces of the designers Shalysmar Latorre and Juliana Abislaimán. While the men’s selection will participate for the first time in this competition and will wear swimsuits by Eddie Guerrero. The night will close with the presentation of the outstanding designer Amaury Matos, directly from Dominican Republic.
On Thursday, September 20th at 7:00 pm the runways will be graced with the 'showcase' of Reinaldo Alvarez and Ruben Dario, followed by David Antonio. That night the first group of ‘The New Generation’ (the emerging and outstanding designers) will present their collections; Ruscherly Huyke, Joseph Da'Ponte, Dee Serret and Marian Toledo.

On Friday, September 21st at 7:00 pm will present the mini collections of recent graduates of the School of Visual Arts. Then the second group of ‘The New Generation’, which includes JackieTejada, Ghabriello Fernando and Richard Cotto. At 9:00 pm will be the 'showcase' of Jaer Cabán and JoseRaul, and then to finish the night with Eddie Guerrero.
The final night Saturday, September 22 will be a presentation of the ‘Top 10 designers stores’ in Plaza Las Americas. The third round of proposals for ‘The New Generation’ with showcases of designers Alana Solá, Sofia Arana and Hector Omar. At 8:00 pm Lisa Thon will present her collection, accompanied by a group of her top students.
The closing showcase will feature designer Gustavo Arango and the duo The Blonds, directly off from the runways of New York Fashion Week.
