[Branding + PR] Ghabriello Fernando

Greetings, world! It's Naomy with a quick update on what I've been working on lately. It is with great pleasure that we launch this week the official website of our friend, Ghabriello Fernando. I insisted on this for the sole reason that in todays market, a website is important in order to showcase your work and be seen around the globe.

Home tab for Ghabriello Fernando's new official website.

We decided to work on the 4ormat platform because of its minimal design concept. It's also very easy to maintain, which is great for clients who want to update their portfolio regularly. In Ghabriello's case, I decided to maintain a clean colour palate of white and greys, with a blue accent colour taken from his last collection, Alla Piú Bella.

I divided his portfolio in different collections, leaving a space for press. I love the fact that 4ormat translates beautifully from my work computer (21.5 inch iMac) to my partner's iPad or any smartphone.

You might be wondering where I got all those unpublished pictures. I actually shot them while covering Puerto Rico High Fashion Week for Papel Magazine, and they sit still at Nao Nao Group's archives; i just cleaned them up a bit and uploaded them.

Another great 4ormat feature is that it lets you embed videos from YouTube or Vimeo.  I think I spent more time formatting the videos and looking for all of loose Ghabriello's press than actually designing the website. The whole job took a total of 8 hours, counting the investigation of material, formatting of pictures and video, logo digitalization, domain registering and e-mail set-up.

I definitely recommend 4ormat for every creative that has multiple portfolios, varying from thematic or medium. It's not that useful for stores, brands or companies in general, though. I swear I was not paid to review this, I just fell in love with the system. In fact, I'm thinking of making the switch myself!
