[Editorial] A Touch of the 20's @ Ego Moda Magazine

On Gustavo Shirt, Vest & Pants: Givenchy. On Shirley, Dress: Harry Robles, 

We were invited by our friend and Editor-in-Chief of Ego Moda Magazine to work on an editorial that will be featured in this year's Spring 2012 Special Edition. We were excited to hear the concept we would be working on was the roaring 20's; luxurious clothing, independent thinking and the liberal movement of the era (can you say love!).

 Suit: Christian Dior

We were very inspired by the shoot and pulled some stunning dresses from designers Harry Robles, Ghabriello Fernando, John Dunn, Richard Cotto and Heriberto Vazquez. Aisha channelled the era with amazing fascinators from Matahari and vintage jewelry from Vitorio Just @ The Sheraton Convention Center. For him, some spiffy and swanky Christian Dior, Lavin, Givenchy and Bill Blass suits to compliment the amazing dresses. 

Ivan García from Beyond Salon was the hair stylist and he completely conveyed the looks of Marlene Dietrich and John Barrymore. The mood of the shoot was super important, Naomy did a modern reinterpretation on typical 20's movie lighting, filling the atmosphere.

The models for the story were Shirley (Elite Model PR 2011) and Gustavo Juarbe, they were pretty nifty! They danced the charleston and lived up to the flapper role during the shoot. We found this great video on youtube so they could get inspired by the dancing and the jubilation of the 20's and this set the tone for the editorial.
