[Auditions] The New Generation @ Puerto Rico High Fashion Week '12/'13
Puerto Rico High Fashion Week (PRHFW), the main fashion event of the island will be holding auditions on Thursday, March 1st at 2:00 PM, at UNICA model agency to choose the select group of designers who will be part of 'The New Generation' 2012.
This event of international significance has become a platform for designers to develop professionally and gain international exposure. In previous editions, we had the pleasant experience that designers take their first steps on the runways of PRHFW and begin to develop their career in the fashion world. Ecliptica, Jaer Caban, Jose Raul, Diana Vazquez, Jose Karlo and Yanira Maldonado are just some examples of the select group of new designers who after participating in PRHFW has lead to the development and career growth. The designers who wish to participate in the audition must be present at the offices of UNICA model agency and showcase their creativity. They must meet specific requirements to be part of the experience.

The audition requirements of "The New Generation 2012":
- Submit portfolio of fashion designs.
- Submit three designs which exemplify their creativity.
- Have the financial ability to cover the cost of production for ten to twelve designss to showcase.
- Availability to be evaluated and supervised by a committee or jury that will be composed of fashion experts.
- Privately submit his collection two weeks before the event for review and evaluation of the committee or jury.
- Ability to work as a team.
- Comply with the rules and regulations established by Puerto Rico High Fashion Week.
PRHFW and its panel of judges will evaluate all new designers and reserve the right to declare the audition, and understand it prudent and necessary. Also reserve the right to include among the selected designers any who have participated in the previous edition. The decision of PRHFW and its judging panel will be final and binding and unappealable.
Puerto Rico High Fashion Week was founded in 2005 and is the national fashion event. The event presents the most important fashion designers of the island, including the most promising young talent and outstanding renowned international designers. It is estimated that over 100,000 people have attended this world class event, in which works directly and indirectly 300 people, which injects about $2 million to the local economy.
