[Behind the Scenes: Sponsorship] Elite Model Look 2011: Shirley
As you know, we were one of the official sponsors for the Elite Model Look Puerto Rico. So we had the opportunity to create the portfolio for the winner of the competition: Shirley. Our inspiration was New York, Milan and Paris for this shoot; a sort of editorial style look book.
Having the chance to pull from some of the designers of Puerto Rico High Fashion Week, I decided to pull some of the pieces of Jose Karlo's last collection, Desertika which was stunning. I also pulled from an upcoming designer that presented a small collection at the Imagen Runway Trends Show earlier this year, Olivo. As some of you may know, I have a soft spot for upcoming designers and decided to throw one of the newcomers pieces in the mix, and it turned out gorgeously.
Last but not least, I decided to go for a clean, simple but edgy beauty concept. Rafael Quiñones our in-house hairstylist came up with an impressive design to complement our fashion and makeup direction.
