Those who know me personally know I'm a bit of a fangirl for Daniel Figueroa's work, especially because I think he's the best technical photographer working in fashion nowadays in Puerto Rico. I have always admired his use of lighting and post-processing prowess. So when wardrobe stylist Davis Carrasquillo asked me to work with him, I jumped at the chance to meet Daniel in action.

For this shot, we worked with the beautiful Denisse Quiñones, who is best known for her win as Miss Universe 2001, and her career in acting for movies, theater and TV. Davis and I drove the night before the shoot to Guánica, staying in Copa Marina Resort, where they treated us to some very nice amenities and awesome food. Davis brought a lot of beautiful clothes, including quite a large number of Stella Nolasco's new collection, which was gorgeous.

All in all, I quite enjoyed being an assistant again; which was something I had not done for quite a while. I quite like how the finished product turned out, and also look forward to working with Daniel + Ana Delia soon!!
